A Mysterious VIVO Phone With a 100% Screen Ratio Leaked On Photos

Image
The full-screen technology is a mainstream. But every manufacturer has its own way of making such handsets. As a result, we can find different types of full-screen. But which of them has the highest screen-over-body ratio? The iPhone X, Nubia Z17s, OnePlus 5T, OPPO R11s, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and other border-less smartphones provide a great viewing experience due to high screen proportion. But none of them is close to 100%. Recently, VIVO launched the  X20 Plus UD  smartphone, which is the first Android handset supporting under-display fingerprint technology. Now we see this manufacturer is going further and most likely the first 100% screen ratio smartphone will come our way from this brand as well. A few photos were leaked today in spy photos showing a mysterious smartphone has no borders, no chin, and no forehead. Well, maybe there is a chin, but it’s narrow a lot. So the sensors set can be placed there. And though there is a narrow frame around the display, its ratio is

Meizu sends frying pans and DSLR zoom lens as Meizu E3 invites

Image
If there’s one thing Meizu likes to do, it’s sending weird invites. The company has a history of sending pretty unusual stuff as an invite. Recently, the phone maker has sent stuff like old Nokia phones and a pair of sneakers much to the surprise of invitees. Well, we’ve got one more to add to it. Apparently, the company is readying to send Meizu E3 invites to guests. These invites will be on frying pans and a big DSLR-like mug. The  Meizu E3  has leaked a couple of times in the recent week. Meizu probably has good reason to paste invites on a frying pan and a DSLR-like mug. This DSLR-like mug is actually a Canon 70-200mm zoom lens which costs 5000 Yuan, say reports. Apart from the launch date details, the invites might hint at why Meizu chose these items to accompany the official teasers. The frying pan has the Meizu logo along with “E3 G” also written on it. It is being said that this might allude to a special gaming variant Meizu E3. While the “E3 P” on the m

Meizu E3 To Be a Gaming Phone: The Manufacturer Need Testers

Image
The most popular smartphone line of Meizu, the Charm Blue is unstoppable this year. Recently, the company launched its first full-screen smartphone named the Meizu M6S (aka Charm Blue S6), and immediately after it, the net began buzzing about a new phone dubbed as the Meizu E3 (or Charm Blue E3). According to the announcement, those who want to participate in the recruitment should apply for it on February 7 – March 7. The chosen testers will be sent their own unit without returning. They have to test it during a certain time period and write a review Nothing said about the phone mode, but the announcement showcases it will support ‘Game Mode 2.0’. So tend to think this is the previously rumored Meizu E3 because we haven’t heard about another product but this one. Of course, there is also the Meizu 15 Plus, but it’

Remember the Turing Phone? The manufacturer just filed in for bankruptcy

Image
The Turing Phone was a smartphone developed by Turing Robotics Industries, bringing a robust design with some premium finish and extra focus on security. Furthermore, the device was one of the few smartphones running Sailfish OS which provides end-to-end encryption. Being a smartphone for a specific niche, the Turing Phone was not a best-selling smartphone and never made its way through the masses. Now the manufacturer behind the security-centric device has found the headlines again, however, the situation couldn’t be worse. Apparently, the Finnish company is suffering from deep financial troubles. After announcing a $1 billion deal with the Chinese company, Potevio, the Turing Robotics Industries filed for bankruptcy. Although everyone was expecting the company to start to ship the Turing Phone to the costumers who placed pre-orders during this year, it looks like this financial mess will stop the company from doing that. Instead, Potevio will be the responsible for dist

OnePlus Carl Pei dismisses OnePlus X2 Rumors

Image
Oneplus CEO Carl Pei has shot down rumors swirling around that its company could unveil the Oneplus X2 in the course of the year. The company’s top executive via his twitter handle labeled the news making the rounds as “fake,”. Mr. Pei actually simply wrote Nope on a GSM Arena’s article which  talks about plans for the OnePlus X2 . Many of Carl Pei followers in a swift reaction accused his company of having the habit of refuting reports even when they turn out to be true afterward. It well over 2 years since OnePlus first introduced the OnePlus X, so an upgrade is due, but with  Pei dismissal, it’s certain we might not get to see the OnePlus X2 in near future. The price of the rumored OnePlus X2 was earlier pegged between the Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,000 category. The Oneplus X2 rumors which emanated from China recently from ‘a person familiar with the company’s future plan suggested the device would come with a 5.5-inch display with the usual 16:9 aspect ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 83

Rumour: OnePlus X2 with Snapdragon 835 in the works

Image
Remember the OnePlus X that launched in 2015 when OnePlus was still in its baby days? Well, new rumours have sprung up from nowhere that OnePlus might bring the X-factor to life again. The OnePlus X tried to invade a territory which was a fortress of the Moto G series in 2015. And now it’s 2018, OnePlus never came up with a successor. Perhaps, Xiaomi’s adventures in the affordable segment are the inspiration here to the company. According to techpp, a person aware of OnePlus plans stated that the brand might be planning a reboot of the OnePlus X series. It would launch after the OnePlus 6. According to another source, it might come even earlier than that, priced in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,000 category. The reason cited here is a surplus of Snapdragon 835 SoCs that OnePlus wants to put away to good use. Now, there is no way to know how well OnePlus has sold the 5T but we did hear that the last quarter was the best for the 4-year old brand in its history. So, they must be se

Xiaomi will unveil the “Redmi Note 5” at India, but not what you waiting for

Image
The Chinese Behemoth, Xiaomi, has announced its very first event of 2018. With a nice looking promotional image, the company hinted that the “5 is coming” pointing to the launch of Redmi 5 family in India, or even of the mythical Redmi Note 5. As we stated earlier today  the number 5 probably alludes to the Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus. Both smartphones were launched two months ago in Xiaomi’s Homeland but still haven’t made their way to India. Considering the Indian market importance for the manufacturer, we are sure that the company intends to release their newest mid-range contenders on February 14th. But the Redmi 5 Plus might be released with a different name. The Redmi Note 5 is undoubtedly a mythical smartphone of some sort. Being one of most anticipated smartphones around Mi Fans, Note 5 still is nothing but a rumor. However, the Xiaomi’s teaser page reveals much more than the company ever wanted. The name “Redmi Note 5” was spotted when checking the Tea

Alleged Honor 7C Image spotted On TENAA

For now, its key specs are missing as only images of the devices has been published on the certification site. As per images available on the certification site, the device which is alleged to be the Huawei Honor 7c looks tall and could come with 18:9 aspect ratio with a full metal design. On the flip side, the  LND-TL30  house a dual-camera setup in a horizontal arrangement with a LED flash in between. A little below that, you have a fingerprint sensor while the Honor brand is seen down the rear. On the display front, there seems to be a dual front-facing camera on the left, while a LED flash is seen on the right-hand side. Having received TENAA’s nodding, we are likely to see more specs and images or even get to see the device unveiled in the coming days.

Xiaomi sends invites for a Redmi 5 launch event in India on February 14th

Image
Xiaomi has finally ended fan prayers in India as the company sent out invites for a “5” launch event earlier today. The big talking point here is what does the 5 symbolise? There are two main candidates for that – the  Redmi 5 / 5 Plus  or the Redmi Note 5. Xiaomi has never launched a Redmi Note device on foreign soil before its homeland. And I doubt, that will change. So, it’s the Redmi 5 Plus then along with its smaller brother. Yes, that is likely. But there has been speculation that Xiaomi might launch the Redmi 5 Plus as the Redmi Note 5 in India, possibly with an upgraded processor and drop the range from China completely. This could be possible too as the Redmi Note 5 should have launched in January, as it does traditionally. Speculation aside, what we do can say for certain is that it will be one of these two devices. That would end a long wait for Xiaomi’s Indian customers who have been clamouring for a Redmi 5 device since December. Oh, almost forgot. The in

More Details Of Nokia 8 Sirocco – SD845 & IP67 Certified

Image
HMD executives have announced on Twitter that Nokia will release “surprising” products at MWC 2018, however, the company did not disclosed what will be released. According to some sources, this surprise is most likely the Nokia 8 Sirocco, because of the recent Thai certification document which shows a TA-1005 new device. Also, a recent camera application suggests that the Nokia 8 Sirocco is coming soon. In the past, Nokia phones with Sirocco names were mostly advanced products for handsets. For example, the former Nokia 8800 Sirocco. If HMD Global used the Sirocco name for Nokia 8, it means that the new machine will be based on Nokia 8. Reports have it that the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. Its lights will be sustained by a 3250mAh while its camera department will boast of a 12MP + 13MP dual Zeiss camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Also, this smartphone will be IP67 waterproof and dustproof and it will suppor

LG Mobile Quits The Chinese Smartphone Market

Image
Last week, South Korean manufacturing giant, LG, released its financial results for 2017. For the past two years, LG’s mobile business has suffered huge losses and it only managed to get a meager gain in the first quarter of 2017. Looking at the  values that were released last week , the company lamented that the competition from Chinese brands is pushing it out of business in China. Now, reports coming out of China suggests that LG is pulling out of the Chinese smartphone market. A representative of the company at its Beijing office said “LG MOBILE PHONE BUSINESS HAS QUIT CHINA.” LG’s mobile decision to quit the largest smartphone market in the world is directly linked to its gain in only one quarter out of a possible eleven since the beginning of 2015. The Chinese market is highly saturated and even the local small players are gaining some grounds. Reports have it that throughout 2016, LG sold only 160,000 units in China out of an estimated 480 million total shipments

Huawei P20 Lite cases appear for the first time, show dual rear camera

Image
Huawei’s flagship P series is expected to have more than 1 model. From the info floating around, there might be three variants. A Plus variant and a trimmed down variant besides the regular P20. We recently saw  protective cases of the Huawei P20  leak yesterday once again re-igniting talks of the triple-camera. Now, cases of its smaller sibling have shown up today. Unlike the back covers of the Huawei P20, the Huawei P20 Lite doesn’t try to stuff three cameras on its rear, the leaked case suggests. However, we’ve heard very little about the Huawei P20 Lite to make any judgements. However, it would be odd for Huawei to strip one of its premium variants of a unique feature while giving it to other variants of the same series. Nonetheless, this is what seems to be the case for now. The Huawei P20 Lite might actually be a trimmed down variant with lower specs meant for the affordable segment. Noticeably, the case also shows a cutout for a rear fingerprint reader. T
