Most Realistic Xiaomi Mi 7 Renders Show Up Online

New day, new Xiaomi Mi 7 rumor contradicting everything we’ve said before, at least design wise. This time around we have a look at some of the most realistic renders of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship we’ve seen thus far; let’s check them out!

In the image above we have the Mi 7 sporting a very similar design to the Apple iPhone X, with no bezels around the entire frame, exception made for the topmost part of the phone which is where all the sensors and the selfie camera are placed; definitely a better design choice and a very plausible one as well.
Moving to the back of the phone, we find a dual camera setup, but unlike what we saw in previous rumors, we now have them arranged horizontally. Once again, this is more likely to be true as the Xiaomi Mi 6 came with a similar design and there’s really no reason to change that.

Lastly, another detail makes these latest renders more realistic – the fingerprint scanner on the back of the handset. While we know Xiaomi are one of the tech leading companies in the world, an under-display fingerprint scanner isn’t that easy to implement, as Apple has shown. This means that an “ordinary” fingerprint scanner is most likely what we’re going to find on the Mi 7, of course we hope Xiaomi will prove us wrong.

From previous rumors we “know” the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, a 5.65-inch display with a 18:9 aspect ratio, dual glass, metal frame design, support for wireless charging and much more. Stay tuned on GizChina to learn the latest!

Official: Xiaomi Redmi 5/5 Plus launch set for January 25th in Taiwan

Xiaomi’s Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have been launched in China in early December 2017. It’s been more than a month now and there’s been no info on its rollout outside the country. That changes today with Xiaomi’s official Facebook page posting a January 25th launch date of the handsets in Taiwan. The official statement is quite clear about the launch products. Both the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will be launched at the same event. Recent  reports  about the handset pointed to a February release date. But now, that it’s confirmed, we can look forward to the launch. This also means that the Indian release can’t be far as it is one of the biggest markets of Xioami outside of China. Sharp Aquos S3 with Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform (SDM 630) clears NCC

Quite a number of  sharp smartphones adorning a bezel-less design  have surfaced in the news in the most recent times, and while none of these is yet to debut, yet a new Sharp phone has surfaced again from far away Taiwan. The latest sharp phone making the news now is the Sharp Aquos S3 and is set to be announced as evidenced by its NCC application. The sharp Aquos S3 has now been certified by the Taiwanese NCC – the 3C equivalent in China, a possible indication that the device might be unveiled sooner than we can imagine. The certification page contains details relating to the phone’s communications abilities, such as support for Taiwan’s 4G full frequency.
